What does it take for us to obey ?

One of my readers, who happens to be my dad, wrote this. I hope that you enjoy!

How is your relationship to Yeshua(Jesus)? He is God to you? Yeshua said that if we obey His word and abide in them and that He and the Father would abide in you. Is going to a church service for eye service or for rejoicing in the Lord? In Proverbs it says that we are to "trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge Him. Hmmmmmm....I have asked how do you acknowledge to God everything thing that you do?

Like in Yom Kippur, we are commanded to repent and confess and be mournful of our sins. Then on Sukkot we are commanded to rejoice in the Lord. We are commanded to abstain from ungodly things and cling to good. Have you compromised Gods Word? What is it that God wants from us? Is it easier to be obedient to the Lord or to sin.....

Many say that the law doesn't matter because it is "Old Testament" and we are not under the providential law. And some have said that the Law doesn't matter anymore because we are under grace. We may not be under the "letter of the Law" but we do have the Law in us. Jesus said in Matthew that the Pharisees were "brood of vipers" because they would hand out the law yet they did not follow it. We really belong to Yeshua , and it is Yeshua that is coming back at anytime. And I firmly believe that He is. We have acted, and yes I am including me as well , in a way that we have not reason to be accepted into His Kingdom. It is by Grace that we are saved and not by any works that we have done. Paul quoted Isaiah that our works are like filthy rags. If our works mean nothing, then the law would have to be the same. By the law, you have to act on a principle. On God's grace, He has given you a gift from His Holy Spirit. Now the question remains, are you using it to disciple others into the Kingdom? Will Christ welcome you into His arms and say, "Well done thy good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with the little and now I will make you the ruler over the many?" Or will He hit the auto reject button and the well done is not what you had thought it was. Don't be fooled into thinking that your good works will get you a "get out of hell free" card. Did you know that Yeshua(Jesus) preached more on the Kingdom of God than He did salvation? He wants you to have the relationship with Him and not what you have. In Matthew, Jesus told His disciples that you can not serve two masters, you are going to either hate one or love the other. Or should we reference the church in Laodicea? Jesus said to be either hot or cold but if you are lukewarm, then He will "spew" you out of His mouth. His words, not mine.

And now, the question remains, have you asked examined your relationship with Yeshua (Jesus)? Can He trust you with the gift that He has given you? In the end, it is you and not your friend Joe the Plumber that will answer to God. No amount of money, no amount of time, no amount of talents will get you into Heaven. Are you ready? Get set? Go!
