Not In Vain

I think so often we feel that the work we do for God and for others are done in vain.  We would rather do things to tickle our flesh than to help others.  We ask, “What is in it for me?”  I didn't realize that recently, I haven't thought about it.  Automatically, I would jump in and help without thinking about it.  I love how God uses small things to remind us that He cares.  Nothing we do for His glory will not go in vain.  In 1 Corinthians 15:58, Paul wrote to the Corinthians that “knowing and continually being aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile”  In the NASB, it says “in vain”  The word vain comes from the Greek word “Kenos” which means empty.  All that we do on the Lord's behalf, we do it with the knowledge that it is not done in vain.
