Mighty Man of Valour

Have you ever thought that you weren't good enough?  I have battled with this thought for a long time.  Each time that I would think I finally got ahead in life, there would be someone or something that would stand in front of me and mock who I was in Christ.  Today, I had been just talking to God about the last few weeks where I have been attacked by the enemy.  Just a side note: The enemy will not stop fighting you and he won't leave you alone.  Quit asking.

In my spirit, I believe I heard the Lord say "Be confident in yourself even when other people are not." I trust that even when I am feeling confident about what the Lord is telling me to do, I know there are those who will not be so confident.  I honestly have been touchy on this one lately.  Why?  It's hard to have people ask you a question but find that they are not confident in your answer and go to someone else for it.  You and I know they may not mean it that way.  Perhaps some do.  But the fact of the matter is, no matter what we say and do, there are those who are not confident in us.

I believe that Gideon was a man who fought the same battle.  He had been defeated so much that when God spoke through the angel, he didn't believe it.  "And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD [is] with thee, thou mighty man of valour"  The angel of Lord call Gideon what the Lord saw in him.  What did Gideon say?  He whined about the enemy and his attack. God, being gracious, gave Gideon the signs he needed to trust that God was who He said He was. You and I don't need a sign from God that He knows who we are in Christ.

You, my friend, are a mighty man or woman of God! You have the gift of God in you. You have the wisdom of God in you!  Be confident and secure in who you are even when other people are not!
