Your Inheritance-Part 3

Once upon a time....well, you already know the rest of the story. There was a wise old king who had a kingdom that was full riches and prosperity. His servant, although weren't always faithful, were pretty happy. He went to war for his servants one day to save them from an evil king. Before he left, the king made a creed: All my possessions and gold are to be divided between my servants. Shortly after he left for the battle, he was killed in the line of fire. The rest you already know. Or do you? IN Matthew 25, Christ explained that those who are the children of God will inherit the Kingdom. As a joint heir of Jesus, you are entitled to the benefits that the King had left behind. Many servants under the King used their inheritance to curse those around them rather than bless them. You are probably wondering how the inheritance of God can be a curse. Here's the thing, you are given blessings throughout your life; finances, homes, cars, etc. Earlier in Matthew 25, you see that parable of the talents. The servants of the Lord inherited money from the Lord. Two of the three servants used the money for good, to bless people. But the third servant was "afraid". He felt that the Lord was a harsh master who would be mad if he used the Lord's money. In Proverbs 10:22 "The blessing of the Lord--it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it]." Clearly, this servant was unclear of God's love. God's not going to bless you then takes it away. What happened to this servant? His inheritance blessed no one. In fact, he was cursed for doing so and was cast into the darkness where there was gnashing of the teeth. Sound drastic? A little extreme to get my point across but you get the idea. Enjoy your inheritance and bless others with it. The servants of the king used their power and inheritance to help their fellow men. One day shortly after the war had ended, the king returned from the war. Many of the servants were shocked, many were scared, but the king took them into his palace and fed them the feast of honor. Living this principle in life will allow you to live happily ever after. Or, so you think. Stay tuned.
